A burglar was forced to flee empty-handed after being disturbed by a homeowner during an attempted break-in.
Police have urged householders to be vigilant with home security and to ensure doors are locked even when you are home.
It comes as detectives investigate an attempted burglary in Pakefield, Lowestoft.
Witnesses and information is sought in connection with the attempted burglary at Coastal Mews on Kendal Road in Lowestoft on Tuesday, October 29.
It happened about 6.45pm to 6.50pm.
A police spokesman said: "A resident walked into their living room and noticed a man stood outside the back door trying the handle.
"The door was locked and no entry was gained.
"The suspect ran off when they saw that someone was home.
"Can you help?"
