The cruiser - named Francesca - was stolen from Broadview Road in Oulton Broad, during the early hours of September 9.

It had been moored to a jetty by three lines, which were also taken.

With boaters across the Suffolk and Norfolk Broads being urged to keep an eye out on the water for the stolen cruiser, a police appeal was launched.

It led to an eagle-eyed police officer spotting the cruiser last week.

The observant local officer - who had seen photos of the vessel on social media - spotted it in an industrial estate in Lowestoft on Tuesday, September 24, with the boat having now been returned to its owners.

A police spokesman said: "Enquiries into the theft are ongoing and officers are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the crime."
