Centenary celebrations at an award-winning care home were made even more memorable courtesy of a very 'cheeky' visitor.
A surprise butler served up a storm as three milestone birthdays were marked.
Staff and residents at the Dell Care Home near Lowestoft united in celebrating a 100th birthday, and two 95th birthdays on Sunday.
And while it may not have been the traditional way to mark a 100th - or a 95th - birthday, there was a very cheeky surprise for the trio of delighted female residents.
The Dell Care Home in Oulton Broad - were treated to a visit from a butler in the buff.
With one resident turning 100, and two marking 95th birthdays, the ladies - who all reside atServing up a birthday party they aren’t likely to forget in a hurry, the ladies were dressed in sashes and tiaras and expressed delight as they were pampered like royalty during the unexpected surprise.
Elsie, 95, who once worked in a local food factory, is a widow with children and grandchildren.
On seeing the butler in the buff, Elsie exclaimed: "Oh, my goodness!"
Mary, also 95, who looked after her mother and held various jobs, laughed excitedly as the butler made a special appearance, while Margaret, who turned 100 and who hails from Redcar and was a former factory worker during the war and later a taxi driver, was also part of the celebrations.
Joy Henshaw, regional director of Wellbeing Care - the group that runs The Dell, said: "We always strive to make our residents’ special days as memorable as possible, and this was a fantastic example of that.
"Seeing the ladies’ faces light up was priceless.
"We aim to create joyful moments like this every day, ensuring our residents live their lives to the fullest."
