A theatre has revealed a captivating season of new plays for this autumn.
The Seagull Theatre in Pakefield has announced six original dramas set to debut from the end of September.
Theatre enthusiasts will witness The Starling Hotline, the season opener on September 22, written and performed by local talent Jess Morgan.
The captivating tale is about a woman who uncovers a collection of voice recordings related to local starlings in her deceased mother's belongings, prompting reflection on their relationship.
A week later, the venue will stage two intriguing productions.
Forgotten in the Land of Egypt by the Mango Ensemble delivers a narrative spinning between 1631 to 2050.
The play explores the intersection of grief, faith, and the climate crisis, contrasting past warnings with current realities.
Then on September 27, acclaimed actor and writer Hannah Maxwell's touching drama, Nan, Me, and Barbara Pravi is based on moving in to care for her terminally ill grandfather while forming a connection rooted in the Eurovision Song Contest.
As October sets in, audiences can expect a slew of chilling tales, starting with The Ghost of the Toll Point Light presented by Common Ground Theatre and High Tide's More Ghost Stories by Candlelight.
In November, Thom Bailey Theatre presents Thas a Rummun, featuring a collection of horror stories derived from folklore targeted at audiences over the age of 15.
Assistant Manager Des Reynolds said: “The Seagull is committed to bringing new drama to Lowestoft and we are really pleased to offer such a packed programme of innovative plays this autumn.
"It’s a great chance for local people to support our creative community and have a great night out."
