A much-loved ale trail is returning to Suffolk - with more than 40 of the county's pubs taking part.

The Woodforde’s Ale Trail returns next month with people able to claim one sticker from each participating pub they buy a pint of Woodforde’s in, which can then be exchanged for a range of prizes.

The ale trail will take place in Suffolk from Friday, September 6 and prizes include Woodforde’s merchandise and beer - while those that reach 72 stickers will be entered into a draw to win a bespoke Woodforde’s experience.

Pubs all over Suffolk are taking part in the trail and a map can be found below.

James Ramm, head of sales at Woodforde’s, which is brewed in Norfolk, said he “can’t wait” to get started.

He added: “The Ale Trail has been a beloved staple of our events calendar and it is always great to see so much excitement surrounding its return.

“We’ve got hundreds of pubs already signed up – and this year’s event will prove a brilliant opportunity for punters to try out some of our new beers.

“That includes Trail Ale, our new 4.3% traditional ale brewed exclusively using UK hops like Olicana, Progress and Challenger.”

Chris Fuller, marketing manager at the brewery, added: “The Ale Trail isn’t just a great opportunity to get more people trying our beers – it’s about helping our local pubs too.

“Pubs across the country have felt the effects of Covid and the cost-of-living crisis – and Suffolk is no exception to that – so it is great to play our part in encouraging more people to enjoy a trip to their local.”

The event is being held until November 17 and a full list of participating pubs can be found on Woodforde's website.
