A series of aerial shots show the progress of the demolition works at a multi-storey car park in Lowestoft. 

Work to demolish the Battery Green car park began on July 30 as the site is prepared for the upcoming Cultural Quarter project.

The project will see the transformation of the former car park and surrounding land into a £24.3m cultural quarter.

Carried out by Harte Demolitions Ltd, the job is due to be finished by the end of September.

Known as the Battery Green development, it will provide the town with a new cultural and community hub with studio space for creative businesses alongside a leisure complex and restaurant.

Other projects under way in the town include a new seafront complex which is being built in Jubilee Parade and works in Royal Plain, Royal Green and South Quay Wharf.
