Certificates were presented to Lowestoft and Yarmouth Rugby Club Community Bus scheme members after being nominated in the 'Connecting The Community' segment for the England RFU and Honda Volunteer of the Year 2024.
The initiative, now in the fourth year and sponsored by a primary club patron, originated after cancellation of a local bus route.
It offers weekly shopping trips to elderly people in the area.
Six drivers and spare volunteers manage the rota, with additional funding continually sought.
