Two men on inflatable kayaks who were spotted struggling in strong tides sparked a lifeboat call.
RNLI beach lifeguards saw the men on inflatable kayaks in trouble off the South Beach in Lowestoft.
With Lowestoft Lifeboat alerted, 'Patsy Knight' was called out at 12.32pm last Thursday.
A lifeboat spokesman said: "RNLI beach lifeguards had spotted the paddlers struggling against a strong northerly tide and alerted HM Coastguard.
"The volunteer crew quickly launched the lifeboat and found that one man had made his way safely ashore and the other had been swept past the harbour entrance and had been picked up by a nearby marine services vessel - whose crew were thanked for their assistance."
