An annual 1940s-themed event organised by the Seagull Theatre in Pakefield will return this July for its third year.
Based in the London Road South and Promenade area of Kirkley in Lowestoft, the event has proven to be very popular with locals and tourists alike, with many joining in the dancing and singing in the streets
For this year, modifications have been made to the event's structure based on past feedback from visitors to the event.
Differing from the previous complete-weekend events, the 2024 version will be limited to a single day, Saturday, July 13.
Additionally, the event's logistics have been revised to forego the closing of Claremont Road and utilise existing public spaces instead.
The Wellington Esplanade Gardens Association granted permission to relocate the Vintage Market and live music performances to the gardens nestled between the promenade and Kirkley Cliff Road.
Fans will also welcome the return of artists Full House Duo, the Vibettes, and Holly Jade.
Bombshell Rheanne will also debut at this event.
Additionally, the Springtide restaurant on Horn Hill will contribute to the festivities with a performance from the Djangoliers, a 1940’s swing band.
The main event timings are scheduled from 11am to 4pm, followed by the Djangoliers’ performance at SpringTide from 7pm to 9pm.
Event organiser Des Reynolds said: "We are so pleased to be able to bring this event back to Kirkley for another year.
"Putting on large scale events in the current financial climate is always hard, but we were determined to make sure our local community does not miss out on something they have really enjoyed in the past.
"By condensing the event slightly and moving into the beautiful Wellington Esplanade Gardens, we hope to provide another glorious fun day of nostalgia with fantastic music and entertainment for everyone."
