Work on a new £4.27 million state-of-the-art business hub is "progressing well" in Lowestoft.
Significant progress is continuing to be made at the site of The Nexus - with the development due for completion in October this year.
Work over recent months has seen a former industrial site on Newcombe Road - which had been vacant for around three years - transformed with "a high-quality scheme" to attract businesses to town.
Two disused industrial buildings were knocked down with a state-of-the-art business hub being created.
It will see 16 purpose-built contemporary business units of varying sizes -ranging between 35sq m and 225sq m - created as part of Lowestoft's Power Park.
With The Nexus providing modern business units of varying sizes to "attract businesses to come to Lowestoft" the £4.27million development is being delivered by East Suffolk Council.
The site is being constructed by SEH French and has been designed by Concertus Design & Property Consultants Limited.
A Concertus spokesman said: "The Nexus development in Lowestoft is progressing well.
"The £4.27 million project includes 16 commercial units across five buildings and is set for completion in October 2024."
Described as a scheme that is hoped to become a natural hub for clean energy companies, which will be available to let for office and light industrial uses.
It includes allocated on-site EV parking, car parking, cycle storage and infrastructure works.
An updated statement on the council website for The Nexus development said: "In the last quarter, groundworks and foundations have been completed and steel structures for 10 of the new units have been erected.
"Block and brickwork are already under way on these units and the steels for the remaining six units have arrived on site and will be constructed shortly.
"Drainage and further external works are also planned throughout the spring."
The lease of the units is being managed by Bycroft Commercial on behalf of East Suffolk Council - with interested parties, particularly those who are involved in supporting the clean energy sector, urged to contact Bycroft Commercial on 01493 844489.
