An Asda customer has been left in shock after he was forced to wash his grocery delivery to ensure there were no toxic chemicals on them.
Dave Leak, of Oulton Broad, Lowestoft was speechless when his online shop arrived covered in washing machine cleaner, which often includes harmful substances such as bleach.
The delivery driver told Mr Leak he could return and reorder his shopping, having to pay both delivery fees, or he could accept and hand wash the items that he needed essentially.

Mr Leak, 35, said: "I explained that someone at Asda would have dropped or stood on that bottle and thrown it in with our food with no care.
"No separate chemicals bag, no care for cross-contamination.
"I asked why the delivery driver couldn’t resolve on the door with something sensible like a full refund including delivery charge so we can get free delivery tomorrow and stop us dicing with whether we are going to ingest chemicals or not."
Asda has apologised over the delivery.

Mr Leak has an elderly mother who he cares for and expressed his concern that it could have happened to someone like her.
He added: "This could have been someone vulnerable or elderly, someone could have come to harm."
Mr Leak said a similar incident happening to someone else could end up with court action against the supermarket chain.

A spokesman for Asda said: "If there is anything about an online order that our customers are not satisfied with, then they are able to request a refund.
"We have apologised to this customer for not meeting our usual high standards on this occasion and have contacted them to offer a full refund and a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused.
"We look forward to delivering to them again in the future.”
