It was a thrilling race meeting that saw hand-built soapbox karts put through their paces on a karting track.
Youngsters from Scout groups across the Lowestoft district lapped it up - as their soapboxes were propelled to the finish line in a series of races.
Five teams representing the 4th Lowestoft, 14th Lowestoft and 1st Pakefield troops hit a real karting track to test out their the soapbox karts, that they had hand built.
With the annual kart race held at Ellough Park Raceway, near Beccles, hailed a success, organiser Assistant District Commissioner for Scouts, Richard Brabben, said: “Each team had a hand-made kart, a driver and two pushers and took part in time trials around part of the racetrack."
All the teams completed the course and Mr Brabben presented the shield to the winning team 14th Lowestoft, with certificates for runners up 1st Pakefield.
Mr Brabben said: "The youngsters had great fun and we are really grateful to Ellough Park Raceway for opening the track early and for all their help with the race."
