A popular cafe and two museums in a prominent park are set for a boost.
New windows are set to be installed at public buildings and a business at Sparrows Nest Gardens in Lowestoft.
With some of the original windows at Martello's Coffee House, the Lowestoft War Memorial Museum and the RNPSA Museum "in need of replacement", works will be carried out over the next couple of weeks.
Improvements to the "commercial business" and "two museums" will start next week.
A scheme submitted by Lowestoft Town Council in March last year, centring around "Replacement windows at public buildings and business in Sparrows Nest Gardens. The existing windows will be replaced with energy conserving heritage style windows" was approved by East Suffolk Council in July last year.
With the buildings "set within the public open space of Sparrows Nest, within the North Lowestoft Conservation area" the original windows were described in the town council's design and access statement as "now no longer fit for purpose" and "in need of replacement."
A Lowestoft Town Council spokesman said: "Martellos Cafe in Sparrows Nest Gardens will be getting new windows as part of our continued work to improve all our assets and make them more environmentally friendly and efficient.
"The building, which is owned by Lowestoft Town Council, recently undertook a survey which highlighted that replacing the windows would make significant improvements to the building's energy efficiency."
Work to replace the windows will start on Monday, April 15 with completion scheduled by Friday, April 19.
The town council spokesman added: "The cafe will remain open during this time and we expect that there will be minimal disruption for customers.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this work and thank you for your understanding."
From Friday, April 19 works to replace the windows at the Lowestoft War Memorial Museum and RNPSA Museum will also begin, and these works are expected to last a week.
