A much-loved gelato parlour on the Suffolk coast has announced a new Italian treat is coming to the menu. 

Harris & James is a café selling coffee, chocolate, and gelato across Suffolk and Norfolk. 

It has stores in Aldeburgh and Southwold – with the latter undergoing a big renovation to the upstairs space. 

A spokeswoman for the company said: "Previously just being a store room, soon to be an upstairs seating area."

The business has announced pizza has been added to the menu at the Southwold café. 

 The new addition was first teased in a social media update on the renovation work which showed one of the walls decorated with a pizza menu. 

It features a selection of different pizzas including classic, Florentine and pesto pollo.

The news was confirmed earlier this week in a second social media post that said: "Pizzas are GO!"

Harris & James is located at 11 East Street in Southwold and is open daily from 10am until 9pm, except for Tuesdays when the opening times are 9.30am until 8pm.
