Work to improve the tennis courts at a clifftop park is set to get under way this week.
The project at Kensington Gardens, which overlooks Lowestoft seafront, is part of a wider £374,000 scheme to improve facilities for the sport across the town.
It will also see tennis courts revamped at Normanston Park and Denes Oval, under an agreement by Lowestoft Town Council and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
Work at Normanston Park began on February 5, with the Kensington Gardens refurbishment starting on February 21.
A town council spokesman added: "The courts will remain free to use for residents and visitors once the work is completed in spring 2024."
In total, the wider project will see 16 tennis courts and eight courts for 'pickleball' - another racket sport - upgraded.
The spokesman added: "Work on the Normanston Park tennis courts upgrade is progressing well with the new surface already laid.
"Half of these courts will see the carpeted all-weather surface re-installed when the upgrade works are completed."
The upgrades are funded by £174,000 from the LTA and the UK government with Lowestoft Town Council contributing around £200,000.
