Two women, who transformed their lives by losing nearly five stone between them, are using their success to help others and shape a whole new career.
Alison Curtis and Louise Kennard are now helping other people to change their lives for the better after training as consultants for Slimming World and setting up new groups in the Lowestoft area.
After joining Slimming World groups in Oulton and Bungay, they both lost more than two stone in weight.
And now they are helping others to reach their "dream target weight."
Joanna Britton, Slimming World District Manager, said: "It’s a privilege to be able to pass on the experience, insight and understanding that helped Alison and Louise to lose weight and enable them to help new members get to their dream target weight.
"We’re very excited about the support that they’ll bring to help the people of Lowestoft and Kessingland to lose weight and get healthy."
Mum-of-two Mrs Curtis, 49, from Beccles, lost over two stone in six months going from a size 14 to a size 10.
Admitting the pandemic "had a huge impact" on her as she started skipping meals during the day and spent evenings snacking - habits that saw her gain two dress sizes in a short period of time.
But after "taking the plunge" last year and joining Slimming World, consultant Liz and the group members helped her build confidence through weekly image therapy.
As well as the amazing support, the weight loss kept on coming as she used Slimming World's Food Optimising Plan.
She said: "Without my group and wonderful consultant I would not be the happy, confident, healthy size 10 person I am today.
"Slimming World is an amazing ‘Lifestyle Change’, not only do I eat healthier, but I have also been encouraged to increase my activity."
'A personal goal'
Mrs Kennard, 47, is now almost three stone lighter after joining her Slimming World group in January last year.
With her daughter's wedding on the horizon this year, she said: "I had a personal goal this time and it really spurred me on, although I felt nervous, I was determined to reach my target."
Admitting she loved the fact she could eat with her family, she quickly found new family favourite meals like beef tagliatelle and baked chicken katsu weren't off the menu.
After setting a goal to do a minimum of 10,000 steps each day, she said: "I am so happy that I have achieved my 2st 13lb target just one week before Christmas - nine months earlier than my goal!"
