A coastal pub has launched its "exciting" new roast dinner menu with plans to offer the "best roast in town".

The Stanford Arms in Lowestoft offered the first of its new Sunday lunches last week, which owner Dominic Burke, 36, said have been in the pipeline "since the beginning".

Available every Sunday from midday to 4pm, the new roasts follow a busy year of menu expansion which has included pizzas and a pop-up vegan roast dinner service

"He's one of the best chefs in Norwich and he's just come back from working on private yachts in the Mediterranean so it's well-timed."

As well as beef and chicken, The Stanford Arms will offer a vegetarian option that includes a beetroot wellington and cauliflower cheese, with plans to introduce a gluten-free and vegan option in the near future.

Mr Burke added: "We've planned to do roasts since the beginning and found great success with our pop-up vegan roasts earlier in the year.

"It's taken us a long time to get here so we're starting small but we want to be able to offer the best roasts in Lowestoft."
