Views are being sought as new policies have been added to a vision that aims to shape the future development, growth and regeneration of a coastal town.
A further six-week public consultation has been launched on Lowestoft’s Neighbourhood Development Plan.
Featuring new policies, the second round of public consultation (Regulation 14) for the Lowestoft Neighbourhood Development Plan has launched.
The consultation, which is open until December 11, is asking people to submit comments on the new policies and some amendments to the plan.
With Lowestoft Town Council designating the whole of the parish area to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan for, it is a framework for development and regeneration of Britain's most easterly town.
A 21st century mixed use waterfront, high quality environment, heritage-led regeneration and a balanced and sustainable transport provision are among the "aims for the Neighbourhood Plan."
A town council spokesman said: "Following the previous consultation period that took place in early 2023, new policies have been added to the Neighbourhood Development Plan, alongside some further amendments to the existing policies.
"Amongst the three new policies are two covering South Lowestoft, particularly the London Road South area and the South Lowestoft Conservation Area.
"For this round of consultation, the Neighbourhood Development Plan Working Group are particularly interested in hearing from residents and businesses within the Kirkley area on these new policies."
With the new policies "influenced by comments made by local people and stakeholders", more than 200 individual comments and suggestions were reviewed after the consultation ended.
"The changes reflect the continued importance that local residents, businesses and stakeholders have had on the development of this Plan," the spokesman added.
With this public consultation part of the process of developing the plan before it progresses to a public referendum, comments on the proposed policies can be made via the Town Council website.
