A yacht stranded with engine problems off the Suffolk coast sparked a lifeboat call.
Lowestoft lifeboat responded after the yacht suffered engine problems at the weekend.
The crew of a local yacht had to call for assistance after their stranded vessel suffered engine problems on Saturday afternoon.
The two crew on board the 33ft yacht had left Lowestoft earlier in the day but soon discovered that they had engine failure.
Lowestoft lifeboat Coxswain John Fox said: "We launched our RNLI lifeboat ‘Patsy Knight’ soon after getting the call at 3.30pm on Saturday, October 7 and found the yacht a mile-and-a- half due east of the pierheads.
"The skipper told us that when he tried to start the engine, he couldn’t get it into run.
"As one of the sailors was a novice, we put one of the lifeboat crew on board to connect a tow line and brought the stranded vessel into the Yacht Club Marina at Lowestoft, arriving at 4.15pm."
