The world's last seagoing paddle steamer has made a welcome return to the region.
On Wednesday, PS Waverley collected passengers from Southwold Pier in Suffolk for a sell-out trip on its way to Tower Bridge in London - with large crowds turning out to witness the occasion.
It was part of a cruise of the River Thames and a floodlit trip to Tower Bridge.
Mike Smith captured these photos of PS Waverley at Southwold on its way for the capital trip on September 27.
With passengers from Norfolk joining the cruise, they were collected by coach in Great Yarmouth at 8.30am and taken to Southwold, where they departed at 10am.
The cruise headed to Clacton to arrive on Wednesday afternoon, and is eventually due to reach London Tower Pier at 8.25pm tonight.
It was all part of Waverley’s 2023 London & Thames Estuary timetable that operates from September 22 to October 8.
A spokesman for Waverley Excursions said: "What a welcome from Southwold this morning (Wednesday, September 27) as Waverley made her annual call at the Suffolk town.
"Thanks to the owners of Southwold Pier for allowing Waverley to call."
Built in 1946, PS Waverley has carried passengers since its maiden voyage to Lochgoilhead and Arrochar in 1947.
