The trial of a 27-year-old man accused of attempting to rob a woman and strangling her will take place in January next year.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Friday for a plea and trial preparation hearing via a prison video link was Anthony Jones of Denmark Road, Lowestoft.
He pleaded not guilty to two offences of assault causing actual bodily harm, intentional strangulation and attempted robbery.
All the offences relate to the same alleged victim and are said to have taken place earlier this year.
Jones’ trial, which is expected to last five days, will get underway on January 22 next year.
Recorder Emma Nash ordered that Jones should remain in custody.
