A Victorian themed weekend of free entertainment has been hailed as a "great success."
The historic High Street and Triangle Market area of Lowestoft was transformed at the weekend as the town travelled back in time to the Victorian era for an 1880s themed bonanza.
Victorian characters paraded the streets, with live music, an Amazing Flea Circus and a Victorian magician all entertaining.
Organised by the Seagull Theatre, the event formed part of the Heritage Open Days festival running throughout the town.
Working in conjunction with East Suffolk Council and Historic England, as part of the Heritage Action Zone initiative, the event was supported by Lowestoft Town Council.
A Seagull Theatre spokesman said: "The 1880’s weekend was a great success with many people enjoying a lovely weekend in the sun.
"We had wonderful support from some local businesses, especially the two local cafe’s Piece of Cake and Shake and Cake who supplied delicious food.
"We also had visitors from a local Steam Punk society on the Sunday who really went to town on their great outfits.
"The Amazing Flea circus from Paul Preston Mills and the astounding magic of Joshua Pickering were mentioned by many visitors as their highlights of the events.
"Jess Johnston and her display on the work ongoing at the Town Hall also attracted a lot of interest."
Visitors heard the tales of the famous writer Charles Dickens, while enjoying a sing-a-long as some music hall style songs were performed as people mixed with an array of colourful Victorian characters.
