A lone yachtsman had to be rescued at sea after suffering a complete loss of power off the coast of Suffolk.
The man was sailing from Ipswich to Lowestoft in his 10-metre yacht on Friday afternoon (August 25) when he discovered that he had lost all power about six miles from the shore.
RNLI lifeboat Patsy Knight was sent from Lowestoft station at 2.12pm to find the stranded sailor who was located off Covehithe, southeast of Lowestoft.

Coxswain John Fox said: "We transferred a lifeboat crew member to the yacht to assist the solo sailor who told us that he had left a marina near Ipswich earlier in the day but when he lost all his electrics and with little wind to fill the sails he called for help.
"We connected a tow line and brought the stranded vessel into Lowestoft and then through the bridge channel to the Cruising Club mooring, arriving at 4.20pm."
