A 26ft yacht stranded with engine failure off the Suffolk coast sparked a lifeboat call.
The yacht was sailing from Southsea to Lossiemouth in Scotland when it had to call for assistance on Tuesday morning (August 15) after suffering engine failure.
The yacht, with two crew on board, suffered power failure and they were unable to get their engine started sparking a call to the UK Coastguard for help.
With Lowestoft lifeboat launched, coxswain John Fox said: "We launched our RNLI lifeboat ‘Patsy Knight’ after receiving the callout at 10.23am and located the yacht four miles north east of the harbour entrance.
"In calm sea conditions we threw them a line and towed them around the South Holm Sands and into the Stanford Channel before arriving at the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club marina at noon."
