A series of free creative workshops for ten to 16-year-olds will take centre stage this summer in libraries across Suffolk.
Suffolk Libraries has unveiled a new programme offering free creative workshops for children during the school holidays, with a wide variety of activities on offer.
The Blank Page project will see high-quality workshops run by local artists including comic book creation, storytelling, performance, poetry, bookbinding, album creation and lots more.
Running from Monday, July 24 to August 31, workshops will be held across nine libraries in the county including Lowestoft, Beccles, Bungay and Halesworth.
Workshops by poet and word creation artist Dean Parkin, illustrator and mural artist Joel Millerchip, storyteller and multi-sensory theatre maker Kirsty Tallent and photographer and mixed media artist Gillian Allard are among those planned at Lowestoft.
Spoken word poet and theatre artist Poppy Stevens and Alice Andrea-Ewing, a sculpture artist working with clay, plaster and brass casting techniques, are among those to feature at Beccles.
With the workshops varying from library to library the full programme of events is available online via the Suffolk Libraries website www.suffolklibraries.co.uk/blank-page
