Staff at care provider Cavell Healthcare are celebrating after winning a prestigious national award.
The company, which has bases in Lowestoft and Norwich and provides domiciliary and live-in care across Norfolk and Suffolk, won the Recruitment and Retention Award at the national Stars of Social Care Awards.
Deputy manager Laura Panter was also runner-up in the Head of People category and carer Chipo Dakwa was highly commended for the New to Care award.
The event was hosted by ITV's This Morning’s Josie Gibson at the Marriott Hotel in London.
Cavell Healthcare's general manager Gordon Anderson said: "We’re really thrilled to have won this award – and very proud of our highly commended colleagues as well.
"At Cavell, we pride ourselves on being one big family and treating our clients like family too."
In November 2022 East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH) - the social enterprise which provides NHS health services in Norfolk and Waveney - bought Cavell Healthcare.
Since then, the two organisations have been looking at ways to increase Cavell’s use of technology and expand the number of services it offers to its clients.
