Four of Suffolk's most popular beaches have been named among the best in the UK.

Walberswick, Southwold, Aldeburgh and Dunwich have all been named by the luxury travel magazine Conde Naste as the best beaches in the country.

Walberswick which is on the south side of the River Blyth has grown in popularity in recent years as a result of its stunning scenery and peaceful surroundings and was ranked the fourth best beach in the UK.

The beach was recently recognised by the Telegraph for its beach dunes and harbour 'that's ideal for crabbing'

Dunwich was ranked the 11th best beach by Conde Naste.

The beach is framed by cliffs, marshes and plant-filled heath and is great for a walk.

Southwold, which recently retained its Blue Flag award, was ranked at 15th.

The popular Suffolk town has also been named among UK's best and sunniest destinations

The area is also a great place to go bird spotting with bitterns, curlews and marsh harriers just some of the species spotted in the coastal marshes at RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Heath nearby.

Aldeburgh came in at 19th and was described as "one of the best places in the world to sit and much exceptionally good fish and chips".
