A famous fast-food burger chain is set to return to Lowestoft after six years.
Wimpy, which is now under the wing of a new franchisee, will open at the same London Road North location as the previous one, which closed in September 2017.
A major remodelling and refurbishment project to install Wimpy’s latest SHIFT design is currently underway at the two-storey restaurant.
Once completed, Wimpy Lowestoft will accommodate around 80 seats, with both indoor and outdoor dining, and customer toilets on the ground floor.

A Wimpy spokesperson said: "We are thrilled to be bringing Wimpy back to Lowestoft.
"We know that both local people and holidaymakers alike have missed us and we can’t wait to welcome them through our doors once again."
The new restaurant will reportedly bring 25 jobs to the town while no firm date has yet been set for the opening.
The town was left without a Wimpy when the former restaurant closed suddenly in September 2017 after its franchisee decided to cancel its contract.
