The UK's most easterly festival has announced its line-up with award-winning DJs and world-renowned comedians among the acts confirmed.
First Light Festival in Lowestoft will return in June this year, bringing together an eclectic mix of performers for the free event on the town's South Beach.
From sundown to sunset, there will be lots to see and do for revellers to help mark the summer solstice.
Genevieve Christie, CEO of First Light Festival said: “We’re thrilled to announce our 2023 dates, along with exciting news on some of our upcoming projects.
"We hope that everyone in Lowestoft will have the chance to get involved with this year’s First Light, whether that is contributing to our parade, playing on a stage or soaking up the festival atmosphere and all it has to offer.”
Award-winning mixologist DJ Paulette is among the big-name artists taking to the stage, who will be joined by the likes of the seven-piece afro-soul group Jembaa Groove and a host of local up-and-coming acts.
On the comedy and spoken word stage, renowned reggae poet and musician Linton Kwesi Johnson tops the bill, with comedian Josie Long and TS Elliot prize-winning poet Joelle Taylor also featuring.
The family-friendly event will also have a dedicated 'kids zone' with storytelling, art and interactive activities to keep the little ones entertained.
The festival kicks off at noon on Saturday, June 17 and will come to a close on Sunday at 4pm.
A dawn sunrise programme of arts is planned from 3.30am and there will also be a free communal feast to enjoy.
Visitors can also choose to camp right on the beach to enjoy the full experience of the festival's coastal location.
