A footpath for pedestrians and cyclists is to be temporarily closed next week as part of the continuing third crossing works.
As works continue in Lowestoft ahead of the construction of the new £126.75m Gull Wing bridge, part of a footpath will be temporarily closed.
The resurfacing works will be carried out on "a section of Waveney Drive’s pedestrian and cyclist footpath" from Monday, February 6.
A post on the Gull Wing bridge Twitter page said: "From 7.30am on Monday, February 6, a section of Waveney Drive’s pedestrian and cyclist footpath, east of Durban Road, will be closed for surfacing.
"Pedestrians and cyclists wishing to use this section of footpath to travel from Waveney Drive towards Tom Crisp Way or Horn Hill, will need to use the northern footpath only, crossing at Riverside Road to continue east towards Tom Crisp Way or Horn Hill.
"Pedestrians and cyclists from Durban Road will need to use the Kimberley Road to Waveney Crescent cut through to reach Waveney Drive.
"The works are due to be complete by the evening of Wednesday, February 8 with the diversion removed and footpath re-opened."
With leading building and civil engineering contractor Farrans Construction overseeing construction works on the Gull Wing, on behalf of Suffolk County Council, the eagerly awaited bridge is due to open later this year.
Once open, it will provide a much-needed third crossing over the town’s Lake Lothing, reducing traffic congestion in Lowestoft and helping to regenerate the area and attract new investment for the local economy.
Ahead of the works next week, pedestrians and cyclists are being urged to refer to the "diagram" showing the plans for "the diverted pedestrian/cyclist route."
It adds: "Please follow the diversion and pedestrian signage that will be installed around the area."
From 07:30am on Monday 6th February, a section of Waveney Drive’s pedestrian and cyclist footpath, east of Durban Road will be closed for surfacing.
