A huge crowd gathered at Lowestoft beach and promenade on Christmas Day morning to watch reindeer, Santas and Christmas trees run into the sea.
The Lowestoft Christmas Day Swim took place at 10am and many participants chose to come in fancy dress.
The event returned to the Suffolk town after a three-year hiatus, with the swim cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
Matt Stebbings, event volunteer, said: "It's good to be back and to see everybody down on the beach raising money and enjoying themselves is heartwarming.
"A big thanks to everyone involved, to our sponsors Everyone Active, JME, to the lifeguards, St John Ambulance, East Point Pavilion, Coastguards and Lowestoft Lions but especially to the swimmers - without them we can't do it.
"I don’t know the official number of swimmers yet but we have a very good turnout."
The money raised will go to the James Paget Charity Trust and other local charities.
