Rehearsals are in full swing as the cast for this year’s Marina Theatre pantomime - Jack and the Beanstalk - prepare to take the stage in Lowestoft next week.
Billed as "a giant" of a panto performance for all the family, a classic English tale is set to be staged.
With all the joy of the festive season, hilarious comedy routines, Daisy the Cow like you’ve never seen her before and the booming voice of Brian Blessed, panto fun for all will be provided.
The cast of Jack and the Beanstalk has been preparing for the opening next week.
A theatre spokesman said: "With plenty of song and dance numbers to learn – all arranged by musical director Mick West and choreographed by Mike Denman - this classic pantomime tale is taking shape and proving to be one of the Marina’s best pantos yet."
With X Factor star Sam Callahan featuring in the title role alongside John Lyons (A Touch of Frost) and Terry Gleed - who is back for his seventh Lowestoft pantomime at the Marina - this year's show also features the memorable voice of classical actor Brian Blessed as Giant Blunderbore.
The theatre spokesman added: "Although Jack and the Beanstalk is a familiar story of adventure, this production peppers the plot with musical theatre and pop songs, contemporary references for the TikTok generation, and a debut for Daisy the Disco Cow bringing this age old pantomime bang up to date."
Running at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft from December 13 until January 1, families can expect a traditional, festive, theatrical experience that will entertain all ages throughout.
Tickets, starting from £12 can be bought through the theatre’s website at the Box Office in person or by calling 01502 533200.
