Event organiser Des Reynolds said: "It was lovely to see so many people turning out for our 1960s weekend in the London Road South Heritage Action Zone.
"Despite the challenging weather conditions, lots of people enjoyed the music acts in the street on Saturday and the craft fair saw plenty of visitors.
"We were particularly glad to hear from the local traders that their businesses had been busy during the day as well."
After a downpour of rain on Sunday, Mr Reynolds added: "On Sunday we moved events indoors and were able to still offer all the music acts, along with the craft fair - which was moved into the Kirkley Centre - and the dance classes.
"Numbers were affected by the rain, but we still had a reasonable turnout in the middle of the day."
Organisers hailed the support they'd received from Kirkley Village Tea Rooms, Bumbles at 175 London Road South and Well Well Well on Waterloo Road.
