All creatures great and small are invited to attend a church service celebrating the lives of all pets.

Pet owners and animal lovers are invited to join the team from Wangford Veterinary Clinic for a pet blessing service to be held on Sunday, March 12, at St Peter and St Paul Church in Wangford.

Walter Stohr, practice owner and senior vet, said: 'A Pet Blessing is something we have always wanted to do and have talked about it for years and then Rev Alan Parry moved into the village.

'When he came to introduce himself to us at Wangford Vets we couldn't believe our luck when he too said that it was something he was keen to do.

'We will be giving thanks to all the wonderful animal companions large and small, past and present, who so enrich our lives, for their unconditional love and acceptance in happy times and sad.'

All are welcome and there is no need to book.
