They are the only RAF recognised Air Scout Group in Suffolk.
And an urgent appeal for help has been issued by a Lowestoft scout group that has been running for almost 70 years.
Founded in 1951, the 1st Carlton Colville Air Scout Group now find themselves shorthanded and needing help.
An appeal for more helpers has been launched after two leaders recently left, forcing the group to consider cancelling some meetings.
Group scout leader Veronica Duff said: "Our scout leader team has been depleted and despite appealing for volunteers there hasn't been any response as yet.
"We offer a challenging and varied programme but because of leader shortages cancellations to meetings could become a reality.
"We are asking anyone who perhaps was a Scout at 1st Carlton, who is now an adult, if they would consider returning and wearing a uniform again.
"Alternatively we invite anyone over the age of 18 and interested in Scouting with free time on a Friday to get in touch."
The scouts meet between 7.30pm and 9.30pm at their headquarters in St Georges Road, Lowestoft.
