Hundreds of youngsters searched a prominent park in the hunt for a treat.
Excited young children descended on Sparrow's Nest Gardens in Lowestoft on Easter Sunday in what has become a tradition in the coastal town.
The Lowestoft Lions Easter Egg Trail 2024 was hailed a success as hundreds of eager children searched for clues to earn a chocolate reward all under the watchful eye of the Easter Bunny.
Despite the cool weather conditions Sparrow’s Nest Gardens soon filled up with excited youngsters, accompanied by their families, keen to swap their vouchers for quiz sheets and get started on the trail around the park.
All 500 vouchers for children to enter had again been snapped up very quickly this year as the event has become a popular fixture on the town’s calendar.
The 25 questions to be answered were hidden around the park on boards and completed entries were exchanged for an Easter egg and a goody bag upon completion.
With the children entertained by Joshua Pickering and his magic show, there were also game stalls and refreshments from Beccles Lions barbecue as the Easter Bunny and a friendly Lion strolled around the park.
Lions President Michael Cook said: "It was really great to see families out in the park enjoying our Easter event.
"Judging by the feedback we have had on social media the youngsters taking part in the Easter Egg Trail enjoyed themselves.
"Lowestoft Lions organise events like this to help boost community spirit.
"We have held this free event at Easter for the past 18 years and it keeps going from strength to strength.
"The Lowestoft Lions would like to thank all the families that came along to the annual Easter quiz trail."
They also thanked the egg and goody bag sponsor, Norton Peskett Solicitors, Tesco and Lowestoft Town Council for their continued support.
The Easter Bunny and the businesses who helped distribute the vouchers - Dixon’s Newsagent, Kirkley News, Longworth’s Butchers and Broadland Interiors - were also thanked.
